The Sahara Hotel and Casino and NASCAR Cafe recently hosted a taping of MTV's "Senseless Acts of Video" for a daring stunt performed by Eric Tollman Scott, better known as Rocketman.
Rocketman began his dangerous and daring deed wearing a jet-fueled “rocket belt,” a one-man rocket propulsion system, in front of the NASCAR Café. He was jet-propelled through the loop of Speed — The Ride while the coaster was in motion and then landed atop the domed valet roof of the Sahara.
“Senseless Acts of Video” showcases daredevils and athletes performing real life stunts inspired by the hottest MTV music videos. The Rocketman stunt was inspired by Robbie Williams' futuristic "Millennium" video, in which the singer attempts to operate a jet pack but fails.
The Sahara is a must see destination for thrill seekers and roller coaster lovers looking for a true adrenaline rush from Speed — The Ride, which has been named the city's best attraction by Vegas.com and the Las Vegas-Review Journal.
